Community Roundtable Sessions
September–December 2026
Time: 1:00–3:00 PM
Location: St. Luke Lutheran Church, Ann Arbor
Beginning in September 2026, Community Roundtable Sessions will be held on the third Wednesday of each month. These sessions will focus primarily on individuals returning from incarceration while also welcoming community organizations, service providers, employers, faith leaders, government agencies, and other partners committed to successful reentry.
2026 Monthly Topics
September 16 – Employment and Successful Reentry
This session will focus on overcoming employment barriers, connecting returning citizens with job opportunities, and highlighting the importance of mentorship, preparation, and community support.
October 21 – Mental Health and Emotional Wellness
Presenters and community partners will discuss mental health resources, trauma, self-care, counseling services, and strategies for maintaining emotional wellness during the reentry process.
November 18 – Housing, Identification, and Essential Resources
This session will provide information about housing assistance, obtaining state identification, accessing community services, and addressing other practical needs that may affect successful reentry.
December 16 – Banking, Financial Wellness, and Small-Business Development
Participants will receive practical information about banking, budgeting, rebuilding financial stability, credit, entrepreneurship, and resources for starting or growing a small business.
Each session will feature expert presenters, community resource partners, networking opportunities, participant discussions, and practical information designed to help individuals and families succeed.
January–May 2027

The Community Roundtable Sessions will continue on the third Wednesday of each month through May 2027.
2027 Monthly Topics
January 20 – Expungement and Second Chances
This session will provide information about criminal-record expungement, eligibility requirements, legal resources, and opportunities for individuals seeking a fresh start.
February 17 – Family Reunification and Healthy Relationships
Presenters will discuss rebuilding family connections, effective communication, parenting, conflict resolution, and establishing healthy personal relationships following incarceration.
March 17 – Transportation and Mobility Resources
This session will explore transportation barriers and connect participants with public transportation, mobility assistance, driver’s license resources, and other options for reaching employment, appointments, and essential services.
April 21 – Employment, Career Development, and Entrepreneurship
Participants will learn about employment opportunities, job preparation, career advancement, workforce training, entrepreneurship, and small-business resources.
May 19 – Community Wellness, Leadership, and Preparing for Peacenic 2027
This session will focus on personal and community wellness, leadership development, volunteer service, violence prevention, and preparing participants and partners for the 2027 Peacenic Festival.
